Kirkstall mini-Festival 2021

Having not been able to hold what would have been our 40th annual festival last year due to the Covid Pandemic we have decided to have this year a Mini Kirkstall Festival, as usual for the benefit of children and families. We have to strictly adhere to Covid restrictions and guidelines hence this year will be on a far smaller scale. We will have approx. 30 stalls, live music, some food, tea, coffee, soft drinks and children’s games. Festival Cancelled

Sadly we have to announce that Kirkstall Festival has been CANCELLED this year. It was not an easy decision to cancel this year’s event especially as it was going to be a celebration of 40 years of festivals. We’re already turned attention to next year and Saturday 10th July 2021. Kirkstall is an amazing community, and the Festival is our way of bringing you all together in the grounds of Kirkstall Abbey. Kirkstall Festival – Celebrating 40 Years!

In 1981 the first Kirkstall Festival took place in the grounds of Kirkstall Abbey. 40 years on some of the original volunteers are still involved, so this year we will be celebrating the 40 years. Over the coming weeks this years line up will be announce here, we got some exciting things in the pipeline. What was happening 40 years ago: Films: Back to the Future, The Blues Brothers, The Shining, The Empire Strikes Back, Airplane!, Raging Bull, The Elephant Man, Friday 13th Music from ABBA, The Police, Madness, Kenny Rogers, David Bowie, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Blondie and many more….
