Cardigan Fields Club – Request for Interviews

September 6th, 2013 | Posted by Jenny.Budd in Local Issues | Our Community

Dear Readers,

My recent post about the new Control club opening in the Cardigan Fields complex has caused quite a stir!

See comments: https://kirkstall.org.uk/2097

I admit, I am fairly new to the area and do not know everything that has happened in the past. Unfortunately, as a volunteer group our resources are somewhat limited and if I did not update this website there would not be very many posts, meaning that it would not be a very good source of local information.

I am very happy that this has sparked some debate (after all that is where the most interesting news comes from!) and it has been a history lesson for me, if not for other people.

I would like to capitalise on this and intend to write an article in the next issue of Kirkstall Matters (out end of October).  In order to write a well rounded article, arguing both sides of the story I would benefit from speaking to some of those directly affected.

If you would like to get involved and want your opinions heard, please email me, Jenny Budd, at kirkstallmatters@gmail.com.

I have been attempting to get a reaction to your views from the club owners and promoters and will continue to do so as I speak to the individuals who provide comment. Perhaps this will even result in change, which is ultimately what the KVCA intends to do on behalf of its members if so required.

Thank you in advance

Jenny Budd (Editor)
