All you hedonistic revellers will be excited to learn that there is a new superclub opening in Kirkstall! Don’t worry if your not a fan of a late night rave, it will be located in the Cardigan Fields complex.
Here’s a bit more about it:
Control, to be opened in September is a new project from the team behind the celebrated The Warehouse club in Leeds.
Control will be the biggest purpose built, multi-million pound music and dance venue in the North of England – it is a brand new two room, 3100 capacity venue set across 25, 000 sq ft. It has seven separate bars, a 24 hour venue licence and has high definition LED video walls fitted throughout as well as Funktion One Sonics, nine sensory depriving tunnels, high performance podiums, private bookable Geopods™, main stage viewing SkyBooths and an outdoor heated spectrum terrace.
What’s more, the club’s light systems will be the most futuristic of their kind, and Control Leeds will feature the world’s biggest LED Geometric Geodome (a huge skeletal geodome with thousands of individually controllable LED lights, previously been seen at some select forward thinking events like Nevada’s Burning Man). Expect jaw dropping production along with entertainers and performers worthy of any huge Ibiza super club.
On top of this the club has a team of highly skilled professional performers and contortionists returning back from the end of their Ibiza summer residencies. The venue also has drop hatches above the dance floor for aerial and trapeze artistes, special effect flame, CO2 and pyrotechnic systems will also be used throughout the main arena.
Control will plug a gap in the Leeds market for international DJs playing long and extended sets in the most technologically advanced and sonically perfect club in the whole of the UK.
