Community led housing for Abbey Mills – Founding Meeting

Kirkstall Valley Development Trust would like to develop over 55s social housing at Abbey Mills in a low car use scheme. The housing would be in the two thirds of the mill that is not earmarked for the community hub (central and lower blocks). With the help of Accent Housing, we intend to submit an application for a Homes England grant at the end of January to work up the scheme.

The development needs to be community led. KVDT want to form a group of interested local residents, ideally people who may want to live there, to guide the development and create a real community on the site. This is the starting point.

Local Councillors are supportive and the Council are listening. If you are interested but can’t make the meeting, please email: chris.hill@kvdt.org.uk

Thurs, 17th Jan, 7-30pm to 9pm
Kirkstall Leisure Centre, Kirkstall Lane, Leeds, LS5 3BE

It would help judge interest if you could book a free ticket here
