Thanks to Newlay and Whitecote Residents Association NAWRA for alerting us to the new dates for the towpath upgrade from Kirkstall to Shipley. This work was originally planned for earlier this year. The new dates are:

Diversions will be put in place for all the affected routes.  Please see below the programme of works:

  • Bridge 222 (Kirkstall Brewery Bridge) to Locks 8, 9 and 10 – 29 October 2014 to 28 November 2014
  • Locks 8, 9 and 10 to Newlay Locks – 29 October 2014 to 8 December 2014
  • Newlay Locks to Bridge 221 (Newlay Stone Bridge) – 14 November 2014 to 12 January 2015
  • Bridge 221 (Newlay Stone Bridge) to Bridge 218 (Moss Swing bridge) – 18 November 2014 to 5 February 2015
  • Bridge 219 (Ross Mill Swing Bridge) to Bridge 218 (Moss Swing bridge) – 17 December 2014 to 26 February 2015
  • Bridge 218 (Moss Swing Bridge to Bridge 217 (Rodley Swing Bridge) – 6 February 2015 to 13 March 2015
  • Bridge 216a (Horseforth Road Bridge) to Bridge (216 Owl Swing Bridge) – 26 February 2015 to 18 March 2015
  • Bridge 216 (Owl Swing Bridge) to Bridge 215 (Calverley Lodge Swing Bridge) – 16 March 2015 to 8 April 2015
  • Bridge 215 (Calverley Lodge Swing Bridge) to Bridge 214 (Millman Swing Bridge) 15 April 2015 to 22 May 2015
  • Bridge 211b (Strangeford Bridge) to Bridge 211a (Yorkshire Water Overbridge) – 1 June 2015 to 19 June 2015
  • Bridge 211a (Yorkshire Water Overbridge) to9 Bridge 211 (Buck Hill Swing Bridge) – 18 March 2015 to 13 April 2015
  • Bridge 209 (Dock Swing Bridge) to Bridge 207d (Gallows Footbridge) – 13 April 2015 to 29 April 2015
