leisurecentre3dThe Council wants to make some improvements to the appearance of the Kirkstall Lane and Kirkstall Road / Abbey Road Junction and wants to hear your views. There will be a consultation event on Wednesday, September 24th 3pm-7pm at Kirkstall Leisure Centre. Proposals that they want to hear your views on include:

· External improvements to Kirkstall Leisure Centre

· New artwork that will display the historic and architectural features of Kirkstall

· Improvements to the public realm at Kirkstall junction. Would you like to see some seating installed? New signage? More bins? Some hanging baskets and flower bed to brighten up the area?

Please come along and tell them what you think and what else you’d like to see improved in the centre of Kirkstall.

Ed: we’ve been to some initial conversations about this proposal, and would really appreciate interested locals getting involved and helping to shape the changes. There is a fairly substantial amount of money to be spent and its important that you feel we are getting value for it in our community.
