This is an opportunity for you to be part of this exciting venture in Headingley. We are seeking a new Centre manager to build on our success to date and ensure that HEART is well managed and financially sustainable whilst remaining a thriving community resource open to all.

HEART opened in 2011 and has a large licensed café, enterprise space and over 10 other rooms to hire. It also runs a varied Events Programme and provides arts exhibition space. Its aim is to be the hub of activity for the wider community of Headingley. Open 6 days a week, it provides a flexible space for a wide range of events.

We are seeking someone with a combination of strategic thinking and direct business management who can combine the demands of a busy community building with forward planning and astute business skills. We need a team player who will thrive on the variety and hustle and bustle of a public building and maintain a professional and welcoming approach. Experience in business and financial management as well as customer service is essential.

You will be responsible for the overall management of HEART in accordance with the Vision statement; to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction whilst achieving high occupancy rates and meeting income targets. You will lead a small staff team supplemented by over 30 volunteers providing reception cover and general duties as well as some targeted specialist roles. As the senior member of the team, you will be expected to develop a proactive and professional approach to lead the smooth running, financial viability and further development of HEART. You will be accountable to the HEART board of Directors.
