Wreath laid at Kirkstall cenotaph - 14th November 2010

The train was just leaving for Kirkstall Abbey as people started to arrive at Kirkstall War Memorial for the Annual Service of Remembrance led by Revd Rosemarie Hayes of Kirkstall St Stephen’s.

A wreath was laid by a young soldier, who had recently returned from Afghanistan, as we remembered those from Kirkstall who had died for their country in war.

At the end of this short, moving Service, we all pledged ourselves to be peace-makers, in our homes and in our community and throughout the world.
