Festival of Archaeology comes to Kirkstall Abbey

KCome and take part in Kirkstall Abbey’s photography trail (photo trail), discovering how the Abbey looked in 1888 and contribute your own pictures of the Abbey today to their Flickr page

Feel free to use your own imagination to interpret Leeds industrialist Godfrey Bingley’s beautiful photos (see the example opposite and see more on the Flickr page).

The event, run by Leeds Museums and Galleries, in conjunction with Leeds University Library Special Collections and is part of the Festival of Archaeology 2013 runs from: Sat 13th Jul 2013 – Sun 28th Jul 2013. So if you are coming to the Kirkstall Festival, why not pop in and have a look!

The photographic trail will be available on paper from the Visitor Centre, which is open daily 10 am – 4 pm.
