Are you a charity looking for some funding? Are you recently set up or donations just not adding up this year?
Well look no further than The Leeds RAG Community Fund. It is a student-led society and is a collection of money that is distributed in the form of small grants to local Leeds based charities who have an annual turnover of £150,000 or less and who do not benefit from regular donations.
The money for the fund is raised through events during RAG week and from collection tins around the Leeds University Union. Last year the fund increased dramatically when the University Libraries very generously donated all library fines paid off during RAG week to the Community Fund. Because of this it meant they could increase the size of the grants awarded to charities, depending on their need.
I’m pleased to announce that the Leeds RAG Community Fund is now open for applications from local groups and charities for 2013. Applications for the 2012/2013 fund opened on Monday 14th January 2013 and close Friday 22nd of February. Details about applying can be found here: www.leedsrag.org.uk/about/community-fund/
Charities who are successful in their Community Fund application will be invited to a Presentation Afternoon on Thursday 2nd May 2013 which is held during Leeds University Union’s Celebrate Week – one of the most prestigious events of the year. This year grants awarded will range from £250 – £1000.
Please note that successful applicants will receive their grant via BACS, towards the end of June 2013.
Good luck!!
