North West (Inner) Area Committee Wellbeing Fund Commissioning 2013/14

The North West (Inner) Area Committee is please to announce that it is now seeking applications for funding from its Wellbeing Fund.  Attached is the Large Grant Application Form, as well as the Large Grant Guidance Notes outlining priorities that the Area Committee would like to focus its funding on in 2013/14. Click on the links to download. Also included within the guidance notes is a map showing the area which projects should benefit to be eligible for funding.

The Area Committee will be accepting applications until the closing date for receipt of applications Friday 1st February 2012. We would be grateful if applications could be submitted electronically where possible to west.north.west@leeds.gov.uk this will enable us to process the applications more quickly.  Please note that supporting documentation such as constitution and audited accounts will be required as part of the application process; these are detailed in section 25 of the application and guidance notes.

What happens after you submit your application?

The Area Support Team will review all applications and discuss any queries we may have about your application with you prior to it being considered by the Area Committee, who will decide whether or not to fund your project.  A decision will be made at a special Area Committee meeting to be held on 7th March 2013 and we will inform you of the outcome shortly after the meeting.

If your application is approved you will be asked to sign a Funding Agreement and Project Delivery Statement, which sets out various conditions for this grant including the need to submit progress reports and receipts to us and the timescales for doing this. Please note, grants are paid in arrears, either quarterly or on the completion of the project.

To be eligible for funding your Group/Organisation must have the following:

  • Appropriate management arrangements and finance controls in place (such as a group bank account and audited accounts)
  • Relevant policies to comply with legislation and best practice e.g. equal opportunities, child protection
  • Demonstrate it has the experience and/or ability to undertake the project
  • Be clear on how you will measure the success of the project
  • If applying for funding to carry out capital works, you must have arrangements in place for ongoing repair/maintenance

Applicants should note that there are limited funds available and that projects which help to achieve these priorities will score more favourably on assessment.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
