Happy 2013!

January 16th, 2013 | Posted by Jenny.Budd in Kirkstall Matters | Our Community

Hello all,

I just wanted to say a belated happy and healthy New Year to all readers and let you know what we are hoping to achieve in 2013.

Our main aims are as follows:

  • Increase the number and quality of our communications
  • Increase our member numbers
  • Find new and innovative ways to reach out to more people
  • Improve the aesthetics of the Kirkstall area, and in turn, bring more people to Kirkstall
  • Organise more community activities
  • Reach out to more groups of people living in the area (ages, ethnicities, etc.)
  • Forge better connections with businesses, organisations, community groups, clubs and residents

We are currently looking into securing grants and funding so that if we successful we have the resources to be able to reach more people in ways that benefit our wide audience.

However, we are still a little light on contributors to both the magazine and online and we always welcome any new ideas or anyone that can spare a couple of hours each quarter. Perhaps you are well connected in the community? Or you own a business? Maybe you run a local club?

We don’t discriminate, we are grateful to receive assistance from anyone, from any walk of life and welcome the different outlooks that this can provide us and the community.

If you are interested please get in touch with either myself or Simon via email to editor@kirkstall.org.uk

Again, happy New Year, I hope it is a successful one for all.

Kind Regards

Jenny
