Olympic Torch comes to Kirkstall!

On the 24th June the olympic torch is leaving Salford at 05.59am and travelling into Yorkshire. At 17.48pm it will arrive on Kirkstall Lane and travel through Headingley. Five students and one member of staff from the University of Leedswill be part of the 8000 torchbearers who have been chosen to carry the olympic torch.  The tour on the 24th June ends with a celebration at Temple Newsam which includes music from Friendly Fires.
