China - 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008.
In Spring 2005 I made an unforgettable visit to China. I visited Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai and Xian. My friends in China looked after me well and I had a great time.
As well as visiting The Great Wall and Terracotta Warriors, I visited Chairman Mao's Mausoleum, the Nanjing Massacre Memorial, the West Lake and many more places of interest.
Last Spring I returned to China. I visited, Dalian, Qingdao, Qufu, Janin and Zibo, and revisited Beijing and Shanghai.
Once again many thanks to my Chinese friends who helped me so much.
This Spring I revisited China. This time I visited Guangdong and Sichuan Provinces as well as Macau and Hong Kong. Thanks to my Chinese friends again for their assistance in ensuring that I had a good time.

In December 2007 I made my fourth visit to the country. This was a shorter visit to visit a friend in Lanzhou and another friend in Guangzhou. Lanzhou lies in the north of China in the province of Gansu. It is on the Yellow River and less well known to tourists.
Guangzhou is a larger and much more well known and international city situated in the South East of China on the Pearl River.
Thanks to my friends in these two cities for their kind care and assistance. I hope to revisit China in the near future.

In December 2008 I made my fifth visit to China. I revisited Beijing, Lanzhou, Guangzhou and Shanghai. It was good to see my Chinese friends again. I had some good times despite being ill for a few days. Flying from Shanghai to Paris was superb as I got a free upgrade to Business Class. The last leg of the flight to Manchester airport meant having to spend 28 hours at Paris CDG airport because of two centimetres of snow.
